Photoshop unable to load files to stack problem

I work in the 3d visualisation field, and for post-processing I always use Load Files to Stack script in Photoshop to load render passes as layers. After the few latest updates, sometimes I can't get it to work. It would load only two render passes, then stops. I often have to restart Photoshop. I am running Windows 10.

Another issue I faced just recently is Photoshop gets unresponsive when opening the app. Please help.

You can always use an alternative script to load layers into a stack, such as this one:
