My Photoshop recently updated itself and now i have both v 22.4.1 and v21.2.8 on my Creative Cloud Desktop.
Problems with one version where i cant save an edited image to jpg and with the other the Oil Paint and other features don't work (not able to be selected) when they did before.
I am not sure which version is being loaded when i click on my Desktop Shortcut for Photoshop.
Is anyone else having problems??
Gary
For 22.4, it's all explained here:

File > Save a Copy is your new workflow.
There has been lots of discussion on this new behaviour in these forums this week.

That's usually because you updated to 22.x and opted to retain the existing version 21.x on your hard

The method for saving files has changed in 22.4 If you have a layered file, you are asked to Save a Copy where jpg will be a choice.
Oil Paint requires OpenCL, which is dimmed out in later versions. Adobe is rewriting the GPU code and this is causing problems with some cards.
You can troubleshoot your GPU to see that it has the latest drivers.

Select "Deactivate Native Canvas" under Preferences > Technology Previews, or rollback your Photoshop version to the one that last worked.
Also best to turn of Automatic Updates under Creative Cloud Preferences > Apps

Gave your suggestion a try but it makes no difference to the problems with either version.
Not sure how I ended up with 2 versions of Photoshop either??
Thanks

That's usually because you updated to 22.x and opted to retain the existing version 21.x on your hard drive. You can uninstall if you prefer to have only one version installed.

It used to be installing a later version of Photoshop replaced the older one by default which caused many complaints.
You can check your GPU settings. Maybe setting it to Basic can make OpenCL available:
Restart Ps to make sure the settings take.
Or try a Preferences Reset:
