How do i remove an object from an image in such a way so that the background seamlessly fills the space of the object removed, especially when the background is complex? Healing and clone brushes are unwieldy when the background is complex. A distracting object in an image can be the difference between a good photo and a poor one.
That is exactly the 100 million dollar question, isn't it? The only answer still is and will ever be: Practice makes perfect. Tedious as it may sometimes be, more often than not it's really all about patching pieces of the image together using cloning, manual painting or pasting in bits from other sources. The rest is merely a matter of how well you know your tools and techniques.
Yes, practice makes perfect, Mylenium. But Michael Bullo below suggested the "Content-Aware Fill" (under the Edit menu), and i found that this is quite a useful tool. All the best.
