but when I import 'Image Source' from PDF file, and clicked 'Edit Contents'.

photoshop douesn't pop up photoshop artbord, pop up Acrobat Reader APP(defalt pdf lead program)..

I'm using Window 10, Photoshop CC 2021.

What you describe seems to be pretty much the expected and intended behaviour.

That the placed pdf actually only includes an image and is created with maintained Photoshop editing capabilities makes no difference about it being a pdf.

I suppose you could change the file association on the OS level but it seems unlikely that you would want to open pdfs with Photoshop in general.

I think you may want to amed your workflow and open/import the images before placing them in the document.

It may add two (or thereabouts) steps to your workflow, though.
