Preference file corrupting when computer restarts

Need some community assistance please....

I upgraded to Adobe Photoshop 22.2.0, Since the upgrade I am unable to open certain files and on occasion PS will crash on me.

Temp Solution

I can delete the Preference file for Photoshop and everything will work as normal, but upon a computer restart it is back to broken.

Solutions Tried with no change

• Full Uninstall and Reinstall
• Brought over Preference file from last version
• Software repair
• Full uninstall and deletion of all Photoshop folders found anywhere living on PC

I have no issues with Indesign or Illustrator, seems to be isolated to PS only.

My Operating system is Windows 10, Version 20H2 64bit, if anyone has had similar issues or knows a fix for this, I would be very appreciative of the help.

Sounds like theer might be a permissions issue.

Now that you say this, I did have to rename the original Administrator account in order for Windows 10 20H2 to properly upgrade and this was the account that originally installed the software..  I will go back and see what I can find and report back, thanks for the suggestion!
