Problem installing Photoshop CS5 (from CS5 Design Premium) on Windows 10 Pro (v2004)

I recently built a new PC and wanted to move my old CS5 to the new machine. I like to keep Photoshop around in case I need to reference some old work even if it's no longer my everyday tool. I've read all the prior posts about installing this software and have tried all the mentioned remedies (running the installer as adminstrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode; installed some old Visual C++ redistribution files, etc) without success. The CD loads and gets to the very end of the progress bar and then disappears. I've waited minutes after this happens just to make sure I'm not missing something. I've tried the same CD disk and portable CD drive on another system running Windows 10 Home (v1908) and it started up the install dialog fine. However, trying on a different notebook running the same Windows version failed. The only difference between all these systems is that Photoshop Elements 2020 is already installed on the ones which failed. I'm only looking to install the Photoshop part of CS5 Design suite and don't care about the other programs anymore. Any ideas of what to try?

Ill save you the effort researching this -  your computer OS is too new to run CS5.

If all you really want is Photoshop, have you looked at the Photography Plan? $9.99/mo for just Photoshop and lightroom.
