Can not use "save as" for saving  .jpg ... / e. g. from an open PSD file with layers. Why?

Thanks for the answer!

But why does Adobe do that?
Do I always have to delete the "copy" in the filename now ? 😞

It's bad for the workflow.

...already the issue of proportional scaling without the shift key was puzzling....

What comes next?

»But why does Adobe do that?«

Adobe was essentially forced into this by Macintosh and in order to maintain platform equivalence also applied the change to the Windows version.

»It's bad for the workflow.«

Selecting the file format from the dropdown list every time one needs to save a jpg seems cumbersome, too, so I recommend automating the task with a Script, which can then be assigned a keyboard shortcut.

»What comes next?«

Nothing to do but wayt and see, right?
