Problemas con capas y formas

Buenas,

Estoy algo perdida.

Tengo un par de problemas, estoy dibujando en una capa con pluma, y al querer hacer otra capa con una forma predeterminada, se borra el trazo anterior y no puedo seguir.

No se como guardar ahora los trazos de la pluma.

Mi versión de photoshop es la 2019.

Check your options bar and also open your Paths panel from the Window menu.

In the options bar, is your mode set to Path?

In the Paths panel, you have one workpath. If it gets deselected, then you start a new workpath, erasing the old one. The solution is to save the workpath with a name by double-clicking it.

If you have a different mode, there may be a different answer. Show a screen shot that has your options bar, Layers panel, and Paths panel if this does not answer your question.
