When I change anything of a large size layer (2x larger or more than canvas), Photoshop freeze the file and I can't reopen it again anymore after I close it. Please fix whatever it is!

Also: What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?
Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:
