Program error while saving file as a PSD in Photoshop

This has just started happening with random documents - I get the 'could not save "x.psd" because of a program error. Is anybody else having this issue.  It is very obstructive to progress and I cannot see a pattern.

Please share the version of Photoshop along with your computer's OS. Are you referring to the same issue mentioned in this discussion?
