I have a problem with PS 21.2.2/21.2.3.
I've been working on a large PSB-file (1,2 GB). After a few minutes PS freezes and crashes without creating a recovery-file.
It has never been a good workflow with those files, but PS never crashed before.
- Desktop Win 10 (64) with 32GB RAM
- PSB-file: 6 layers / no fx
- Photoshop settings: Memory usage 86% / History states 15 / Cache levels 8
Does anybody have the same problem or a solution?
I'm having exactly the same problem since the last update.
I tried rolling back to the previous version which didn't work. I've updated my graphics card driver which also didn't work.
I'm running window 10 64bit and working on a large PSB file, I'm running 32gb ram and tried every setting possible in the performance preferences.
I'm just trying to use the brush tool and having to save every few minutes. It's also incredibly slow.
I'm a freelance illustrator with a looming deadline and this has put me back days, can anyone suggest a fix?
I'm afraid they messed up memory management with the latest versions.
When running PS with that 1,9 GB-file my task manager rates Photoshop with over 23 GB of memory usage and more.
Ok, I've been on with Adobe support for 4 hours after graphics card updates and wacom updates.
We finally got it to work with a rollback to Photoshop 21.1.3
A temporary fix but at least it'll get you moving again if you have any urgent deadlines.
Adobe are going to notify me via email with updates on the underlying issue.
That's good news! Thanks a lot for that effort!
Highly appreciated. Let's hope they get things fixed with the next update.
