I have a question on SSD placement.

My current hardware is

HP Z2G2 Mini

OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

Processor: lntel(R) Core(TM) i?-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz

Installed memory (RAM): 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable) Maximum

Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2 SSD 1TB R/W 3400/2500MB/s (System, boot, Pictures, LRC catalog, Documents, Cache)

Samsung 860 EVO SATA 2.5" SSD 1TB R/W 550/520MB/s (videos, music, software repository, misc files)

Here is my question would I be better having the 860 be my system drive with documents, videos, music, software repository, misc files

And the 970 M.2 be my second drive with Pictures, LRC catalog, & Adobe cache files.

I know boot & application would be a little slower.

Appreciate any thoughts on the matter.

Thanks

Mike

Hi

Is there a particular reason why you're considering changing them around, I don't see any advantage in changing your current configuration.

For Photoshop just set your scratchdisk to use  the fastest drive first, assuming it has plenty of free space.
