PS 22.3 (and the new Bridge) was installed yesterday. I can do almost nothing now. I can open a file in PS but get the above message ("Could not complete your request because of a program error"). I get the same error if I try to performe adjustments or filters on the open image. I have been through the steps given in former occurances of this error on this forum (some years ago) but am still stuck. Thanks for any help!

This question was fully answered by updating the NVidia drivers. Photoshop and Bridge are now working perfectly. There is no need for further replies. (I would withdraw the question but I'm new; I'm not sure how!)

I'm having the same issue - how did you update your drivers?

I have an NVidia Graphical Processing Unit, so I went to:

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/

This page allowed me to search for drivers. There are several boxes to complete. I first had to enter the generic name (NVidia GeForce), then the series (700M), and then the specific GPU (750M). Then I [pressed "Download." Interestingly, I had tried this earlier but it never downloaded anything, even though it said my download was starting. The third time (later in the day) it did download the driver. Perhaps the download served was overloaded in the morning. The driver is a big file (about half a GB). It's executable, so once downloaded, I just double-clicked and it did all the rest. I then restarted the computer to force it to load the new GPU driover. Photoshop worked perfectly after that.

Hmmm. Well, you have now navigated beyond my knowledge. In the related conversations below, there are several things to try. (That's where I got the idea to update my NVidia drivers. I hope you'll find something in those that solves the problem. Otherwise you may have to revert to an earlier version of Photoshop. (I have never done this.)
