I'm using PS CS6 and Lightroom 4.4 on Win 7, 64 bit system. I recently did a backup and when I went back to work Lightroom was fine but Photoshop was disabled. If I click "edit in Photoshop" from Lightroom it gives the error message above with "that function may not be available". I use it every day so that error message is in error.
When I just try to use PS CS6 standalone I can't load files or change preferences I get "could not complete the (whatever) command because of a program error". Photoshop has completely gone disfunctional??
I'm also getting this error message: "AAM Updates Notifier App has stopped working" the cause being "App Crash". I'm completely flummoxxed about where to begin here any ideas?

CS6 and LR 4 are discontinued and unsupported. Use at your own risk. I don't know why a backup would disable Photoshop. Or perhaps you mean a system restore?
If you still have your original disks/downloads and serial number, perform a clean reinstall after running the Adobe CS Cleaner tools.

Good luck!
