Premises
- Photoshop scripting uses VB Script in Windows.
- VB Script gets handle to Photoshop via "CreateObject("Photoshop.Application")" code.
- This "Photoshop.Applications" is one of Registry key which is registered by installing process and related to particular Photoshop.
- Uninstalling process removes "Photoshop.Applicaitons" registry key.
- Photoshop scripting can't control the Photoshop without this registry key.
Problem
- If the "Remove old versions" option in Adobe CC is ON, and you install the new version of Photoshop(older version was already installed), the "Photoshop.Application" will be removed.
- This will prevent users from using Photoshop Scripting.
I think that Adobe CC installs new version of Photoshop and registered the registry key at first step. But, at second step, uninstalling process of old version was executed. Then the uninstalling process removes the registry key and problem occured.
I want Adobe to fix the registry key deletion procedure.
