After a recent Photoshop update I started having issues opening RAW files... Photoshop would just freeze and I would need to close it with the task manager... I thought it may be the Camera raw so I reset the preferences to no avail... I have RAW V13.2.0.738 and Adobe Photoshop Version: 22.4.1 20210518.r.211 7b18b4f x64... my camera is a Nikon z6 firmware V3 (im pretty sure. cam not here at moment)   Right up until the start of April this year everything was working ok...few weeks ago , after an upgrade Photoshop would freeze everytime I tried loading any RAW files....However, any files I had from before past month load fine..

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop 22.4.1. Please ensure you have all available Windows updates installed on the computer.

You can try disabling the option to Use Graphics Processor from Photoshop by going to Preferences, then Performance. Once done, quit & relaunch Photoshop to check if that helps. If it helps, you can check out: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html

If the issue persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2Qzc0K3

Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://adobe.ly/2vNz6FG

Let us know how it goes!

Regards,

Nikunj
