Go to your Preferences/Performance - do you see the Use Graphics Accelerator in the top right or is it grayed out?
If it is not available, what is your OS, Graphics Card, VRAM, RAM and available HD space?

I have a 27-inch late 2012 iMac with 3.2 Ghz i5, 32 GB ram, 1 TB SSD and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX 1GB
the 2012 series Macs are possibly too old to run the latest Photoshop GPU features.
Is the Use Graphics Acceleration available under Preferences/performance?
What MacOS are you running?
