repeated program errors in PS 2021

I am experiencing repeated program error messages.   My PS 2021 is up to date, PS 2021 has full disk access.  I have unchecked "Enable Generator", am running macOS 10.14.6 (Mojave).

on adobe helpx page, https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/program-error-opening-psd.html

instructions to "diable the discover panel" can not be followed because the Adobe Photoshop 2021.app   does not have: "Contents/Required/UXP".

Would appreciate help.   Thanks.
