Rotate Selection???

Photoshop CS3

Is there any way to make a Marquee selection and then rotate the selection area?

I know how to use the Transform tool to rotate the pixels in the selection, but I want to only rotate the selection area (marching ants) without disturbing the pixels underneith it.

You can do it from the menu Select >Transform Selection.

It's not the same tool!
