Safe to uninstall newest PS version and work only with the previous version?

Hi,
I have 2 Photoshop versions installed on my PC: PS version 22.0 and version 21.2.4.
I actually had to "downgrade" to the previous version (21.2.4) since my CPU has no SSE4.2 integrated. My question is if I can uninstall the newest version (22.0) without having any issues with my actual previous version. Is it also "safe" to install the newest updates like 21.2.8 or will I encounter possible incompatibilities regarding the CPU issue?

Thank you!

I've moved this from the Using the Community forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Photoshop forum so that proper help can be offered.
