Nothing going right on Adobe Creative Cloud. I haven't so much as drawn a 'stick man' with this over-complicated bunch of software, in the six months I have been here. I can't even get Photoshop to load on my slow computer.
Looks like they are getting their money on time though... while I'm getting nowhere and paying for thin air. I guess it is a cloud... after all. They should just call the whole 'packaged deal' the Adobe Mirage!
I'm just going back to pen and paper. Screw this subscription stuff!

First off: This is a user Forum, so you are not addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by.
(Edit: I appreciate that you are not addreessing Adobe in yout post anyway, but I just want to point out that a post here will not necessarily register with Adobe or Adobe employees. If you want to post a bug report you can do that over on
and it will be registered, though not necessarily answered.)
Secondly: The regulars here are Photoshop users, so they know a bit about problems with that application and with the cloud licensing model. And they are generally trying to help other Photoshop users.
But your post is effectively a rant devoid of meningful information.
So please read this (in particular the section titled "Supply pertinent information for more timely and effective answers”):

Hi Jef, we are not mind readers, so please give us some info:
Please indicate your version of Photoshop and OS?
How much RAM and spare disk capacity do you have?
Can you describe the particular issue(s) you are having and any error messages?
Also, have you tried resetting your preferences – that's almost always worth trying!

So you explain you used an earier version of Photoshop but seem to find the recent version too complicated, is that corect?
If so you could consider getting some training lessons, or view some video tutorials and also asking specific questions on this friendly forum.
For example (you can get 30-days free access): https://www.linkedin.com/learning/photoshop-2021-essential-training-the-basics?trk=learning-serp_lea...
The Photography Plan includes Photoshop, Lightroom and updates plus some storage and costs around $10 a month.
Alternatively you could get a simpler photo application.
