Save as activates both name and file extension...

...and I want it to activate only the name/new title but keep the current file extension. Where can I find this setting? I've searched the settings panel but nothing jumps out at me.

It's a small thing but throughout the day I handle a lot of files and every time it's two more actions per file that I have to perform.
Hope someone knows what I'm talking about and have a solution 🙂

You haven't mentioned what version of Photoshop and operating system you have, but if you're on Catalina and Photoshop 2020 it's been reported here
