saving image as JPEG copy after saving it as a TIFF

I am trying to save my images and I have to save a copy of the image but make it a jpeg versions and photoshop is not letting me! HELP!! I keep getting this screen that says the file must be saved as a copy with this selection

Does the file contain features that are impossible in jpg, like Layers for example? 

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Channels, Options Bar, …) visible? 

And what’s the problem about saving a jpg as a copy anyway? Don’t you want to keep the undamaged image?
