I have some weird problem. I have an image, on disk as .tif 1.6Gb. It's an edited Nikon file with ~10 layers. When I save the image (no matter .tif or .psd), the counter goes quite fast to 99% (CC2019 93%), and then hangs for like 30mins. The whole computer (PC, Rhyzen 2700X, 16Gb RAM, nvidia GTX 1060) stops to a crawl. There is no CPU load whatsoever visible.
I tried a few things: saving to a different disk makes no difference. I tried saving another .psd file (smaller, 1 layer), no problem. Saving the large file as jpg, no problem.
So it seems only larger files with several layers make that problem. When I kill the process, the image is already saved fine, so it seems to be some after process that hangs.
Interesting side effect: as long as the saving works, chrome has problems loading images
Any ideas?

Hi there,
Sorry to hear about the file saving issue with Photoshop, could you please let su know the version of Photoshop you're using?
Also, does it happen with only one specific file or multiple files? could you let us know where are you saving the files Local drive or External/Network?
Could you please try deselecting "Use Graphics Processor" located in Photoshop's Preferences > Performance, then relaunch Photoshop and let us know if it helps?
Regards,
Sahil
