Saving of photos in Photoshop

When I save a file in Photoshop and using the space bar in the file name it changes to a minus sign. What can I do to get change that?

What exact version of Photoshop and operating system do you have, do you have the same issue saving files from other applications

I do not have that problem on my wondows machine  _b_b_b no problem

It should not do that with File > Save As, but it will when you choose Export > Save for Web. It does that to meet web standards.
