hello,

i run ps cc2020 21.1.0 on the latest mojave os x.

my internal ssd is partitioned as followed:

Macintosh SSD (operation system) apfs

scratch 100GB (PS scratch) apfs

work (files) hfs+

in photoshop "scratch" is set as scratch disk. macintosh ssd is disabled for scratch in PS

however, when working in PS macintosh SSD quickly fills up while scratch stays empty

the moment I close PS the used up space on macintosh SSD gets free again.

as mentioned, in PS macintosh SSD is NOT activated as scratch disk.

there seems to be something wrong here.

greetings.

Hi,

How many containers are on your internal disk? . Would you please show me a screenshot like this if you like?

Hi,

thank you, please find the screenshot attached.

under os x sierra I had "work" set as scratch and it left macintosh HD alone. worked fine.

since the update on mojave PS uses macintosh HD as scratch which is NOT activated as scratch in PS.

I set up the "scratch" partition as apfs drive and set this as scratch in PS in the hope this would fix it but it still uses the macintosh HD partition which of course fills up quickly.

there are no other serious programms / processes active. only PS.

thanks + greetings.
