Hello there,
I haven't been able to find a solution for this and I've searched around quite a bit. I just got a new pc, and its EXTREMELY capable, so I don't think the following problem is hardware-based. This error also occurs when using tiny files.
So the problem is that when I use the zoom tool and attempt to scrubby zoom, the program seems to freeze for about 0.5 seconds then snaps to zooming in on the canvas (based on how far i drag my mouse/pen during the freeze). AFTER this initial freeze, it performs perfectly and smoothly until I let go and try to scrubby zoom again. Freezes again for a moment, every time, without fail.
I know 0.5 seconds doesn't seem like a lot but it really messed up my workflow and would be overjoyed if I can solve this.
PC specs:
Windows 10
3080 Nvidia GPU
9-10900K CPU
32 Gb RAM
Huioin gt-220 tablet

FIXED
I uninstalled the current version and installed an older version instead (21.4).
And it works like a dream now... I guess something went wrong in a recent update?

Hi there,
Welcome to the community.
Sorry to hear about Photoshop freezing. Could you try some optimization steps mentioned here and let us know how it goes? https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/optimize-photoshop-cc-performance.html
Also, you may try resetting the preferences of Photoshop and see if that helps:

Note: Make sure that you back up all your custom presets, brushes & actions before restoring Photoshop's preferences. Migrate presets, actions, and settings
Regards,
Sahil
