Select & Mask / Refine Edge Brush not previewing in Photoshop 22.4 & 22.4.1

After updating PS to either 22.4 or 22.4.1, the Select & Mask / Refine Edge Brush function seems to be a bit of a mess. The only preview mode that shows any kind of preview/real-time refinement is the Black & White mode. The rest (Onion Skin, On White, On Black, etc.) don't budge at all. The refinement is there when you click OK to apply, but there is no way to preview it along the way. I reset all of my preferences and restarted to no avail. The only thing that worked was to go back to the 22.3.1 version.

Any info on why this is happening and/or when it will be resolved?

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Select and Mask in Photoshop 22.4.1. This is a known issue with Photoshop 22.4 & 22.4.1 & our product team is working on a fix. For some users resetting the preferences has helped. If that didn't help in your case, please continue to use the 22.3.1 version to use Select & Mask while our product team works on a fix.

You can add your vote to the issue here: https://feedback.photoshop.com/conversations/photoshop/photoshop-v224-select-and-mask-workspace-prev...

You can also follow the thread for updates related to the developments regarding this.

It is a current bug and happens if you enter Select and Mask by double clicking a layer mask.

Entering select and mask without a selection or with a selection (as opposed to layer mask) should work OK.
