Hello everyone,
The reason I've included Wacom / Windows Ink & Photoshop in the title is because I've tried every possible solution I could find through Google and nothing has really worked. I'm getting sick and tired of this issue, why is it so hard for 3 of the biggest Tech Companies in the creative industry to get their products to work properly in unison.
I recently bought a new Wacom Tablet (Intuos Pro M) but the probably was already there on the previous one I owned. From previous versions of Photoshop I know that the severe brush lag when using a Wacom Tablet has not always been there.
In order to use my Wacom Tablet with pressure sensitivity in Adobe Photoshop I disabled Windows Ink through the Wacom Drives. After doing this I was left with no pressure sensitivity in Photoshop.
I then googled this issue and applied the PSUserConfig trick which includes:
# Use WinTab
UseSystemStylus 0
Pressure Sensitivity wise this seems to do the trick, however I'm now left with an insane lag which makes it impossible to use my Wacom Tablet.
I noticed that when leaving Use Windows Ink applied through the Wacom Tablet and not adding the PSUserConfig file to my AppData folder there is no lag + pressure sensitivity seems to work without lag BUT, and this is a major negative:
I end up constantly getting insanely annoying popups when I press Shift/Ctrl etc.
So my options currently are:
- No pressure sensitivity and no lag when disabling Windows Ink and not adding the PSUserConfig file.
- Pressure sensitivty with lag when disableing Windows Ink but adding the PSUserConfig file.
- Pressure sensitivity without lag when enabling Windows Ink and not adding the PSUserConfig file. However in this case I always have these really annoying popups whenever I click shift/ctrl etc.
I mean what the ****, why does it seem impossible for these 3 companies to get their *** together and fix these annoying issues. I've noticed when trying to fix it myself that I'm one of thousands who have these issues.
FIX THEM!

Is there a way I can download Photoshop 2019 or a version before that? After that things went downhill quickly.
Its still amazing how we're all paying for software with this many bugs. Adobe shame on you.

Yes, you can install older versions of PS. In the Adobe Creative Cloud app. To the right of the Photoshop item in the list of apps, click on the three dots. From there, click on older versions and choose what you want.

It only goes back 2 older versions. Those versions are also bad. And honestly this is not a real solution. Adobe should just get their act together and fix an issue that thousands of people have, people that pay a lot of money for useless software.

Hi
I also use a Wacom Intuos Pro M with v22.1 and Windows Ink (no PSUserConfig). I get no issues.
What pop ups are you seeing (please show screenshots)?
In Windows Control panel what are your pen and touch settings?

Not my screenshot but the popups look very similar to this:

If I wouldn't be having these annoying popups I'd be able to work fine using windows ink. However because of these popups I'm unable to work. And once I add PSUserConfig to my files, it becomes insanely slow.
I need this fixed or I'll be leaving Adobe

That is not an Adobe application pop up, it is Windows - so any feature request needs to go to Microsoft.
In theory you should be able to disable them in the group policy editor (gpedit > User Configuration > Administrative templates > Windows Components > Tablet PC > Cursors > Turn off pen feedback > Enable
Unfortunately it does not work.
Personally, they don't bother me, but if they do bother you then you need to make your feature request to Microsoft.

I know this is a feature by Windows and I've tried what you suggested without success.
Even though its a feature by windows. Why does my brush become so insanely slow when I add the PSUserConfig file and disable Windows Ink.
I honestly stopped caring which issues are caused by which company. Fact is, there's so many issues with all of these companies combined they need to get their act together and allow us professionals to work. Every single update there's new issues. And the response from Adobe, Wacom and Windows are all equally as bad.

Why does it take so long for someone from Adobe to respond? I know its Christmas time but I opened this issues before then.
