Moved from the Premiere Pro forum to the Photoshop forum.
Im having the same problem. My specs are Ryzen 9 3900x 12core 24 Threads 64GB RAM 3x 2TB PCI 4 NVME drives.
On my old 6700K it worked fine now takes an age or crashes.
Photoshop version 22.00 also tried 21.24 still really slow but faster than v22
Now also tried Photoshop 2019 which is a little quicker and Photoshop 2017 which takes a couple of seconds to process. also moving selection box arround is almost instant very responsive whereas new versions are very clunky.
