Since updating PhotoShop to v.22.1 on mac oS Big Sur, most of my 100s of .jpgs will not open.

Error message: "Cannot open xyz.jpg due to a disk error."

Coincidentally, this is the first time that Photoshop kept the old v.21.2.4 as well as the new v. 22.1.

Also, when I try to open in Preview, the error message is "The file 'xyz.jpg' cannot be opened".
