slowed down reaction

My Photoshop all of the sudden stopped working fast and when I try to move the canvas with my mouse the response of the program is 2-5 seconds slower than it should be. It's definetely not the problem of the laptop because I just bought it. But the issue is really annoying and I tried to find and answer online - without any success unfortunately. 

Maybe somebody knows a solution to this matter?

Just downoladed an older version of Photoshop and the issue is gone. Thanks for the links anyways. Will check it out for the future
