The issue is that in earlier versions like 2015 and up you were able to just drag and drop the file on open project and it was added in as a smart object on a new layer which was not cropped to size of background layer AFTER adjusting it in Adobe Raw. Now it doesn't work the same way and simply just opens as a new file and I've pretty much forgotten how to paste an image because when doing that, photo gets cropped to canvas size. Photo was taken with Canon EOS 7D back in 2014.
