Running Photoshop CC 19 Latest build on iMac with 70% memory allocated
Mac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)
4.2 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
Radeon Pro 580 8192 MB
Anyone else getting a spinning wheel while using Brush/Clone tools.
Really frustrating for intricate work, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
What version of MAC OS and you mention latest build of PS, I assume it's 20.0.2
If you have the rulers enabled try hitting CMD + R to hide them to see if that helps
Take a look at this too

Running Mojave (unfortunately, it came pre-installed)
I just ran that terminal prompt that was suggested in your link.
Seams to have worked.

Folks: I have gone crazy with the spinning wheel on PS 2020 and 2021. (I am still running 10.14 Mojave on an IMac 24 GB ram.) I spent an hour on line with Adobe (I appreciate the attempt) but nothing worked. So I uninstalled all my PS versions (I still had some legacy PS versions on my harddrive). Then a clean installation of PS 2021. And now no spinning wheel. All features are working very fast. So for what it is worth, trying uninstalling any and all PS versions and then a clean reinstall. I hope it works for you as well as it has for me (so far....)
