Last spring some of us had an issue with the spot healing brush leaving the black selection in place unless you zoom in or out. It seemed to resolve itself, but now it's back. Yes, I cleared preferences. Worked for awhile, but problem returned.

Are you using a PC or a Mac. I have not see that issue on my PC.
