Status bar file size less than 1/3 what Finder says

The status bar shows 129/303M, but when I check the finder, it's actually 1.05GB.

The file contains a layer with smart object holding two Nik filters. Perhaps the filters aren't being counted by the status bar figure?

Is this normal?

Thanks,
Russell

"The size in RAM counts each smart object as a single pixel layer when in fact the contents can be multi-layered and contain further nested smart objects."
