Many ways of doing this ... i suppose i would begin with a clipping mask.
- Subject layer (person)
- The shape of a shield layer below (which would cut off most of the head at the start)
- Right click the subject layer and 'create clipping mask' (or ALT click between the layers)
- Now the subject sits into the shield shape below but the top of the head cut off
- Now go onto the shield shape layer below and start painting in and adding to the shape where the rest ofvthe head is to begin revealing it ( so paint it in and erase it as needed around the edges of the head) so you never touch the subject layer itself ... if that makes sense. 🤔🤣
