Text entlang eines Pfades funktioniert nicht

Hallo liebe Community,
ich habe versucht bei Photoshop einen Text entlang eines Pfades zu schreiben, aber sobald ich auf den Pfad mit dem Textwerkzeug klicke passiert gar nichts mehr. 
Ich habe definitiv nicht die selbe Textfarbe wie der Hintergrund und ich habe auch einen Pfad und keine Form erstellt. Stimmt irgendwas mit meinen Einstellungen nicht? Bin ratlos.

What version of Photoshop do you have, can you post a screenshot with all the pertinent panels opened

You talk about placing text on a path, but your screenshot does not show any path.

Do you see the change of cursor when you hover over a path with the text tool?

If you click at the point shown in your second screenshot, is a text layer added to your layers panel?

I would first try resetting the text tool

If that does not resolve it, I would reset preferences
