Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop. Would you mind telling us which operating system are you working on? Have you tried updating Photoshop to the latest version (22.1.1) to check if you experience the same behavior? If not, please try that to check if the issue persists.

You can try disabling the option to Use Graphics Processor from Photoshop by going to Preferences, then Performance. Once done, quit & relaunch Photoshop to check if that helps.

If the issue persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2Qzc0K3

Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://adobe.ly/2vNz6FG

Let us know how it goes!

Regards,

Nikunj

Thank you for responding,

I'm using 10.13.6 High Sierra on a 27-inch iMac.

If I disable the Graphics Processor won't that slow my performance?
I am leery about updating my operating system to Catalina due to all the issues I've read about concerning Photshop—are all those issues resolved?

If there are still issues with Catalina and PS or if by disable the Graphics Processor it does slow my perfomance then I guess I'll just stick with PS 2019 20.0.10—I can't afford lost time to be Adobe's guinea pig while you guys work out software issues.
