Thumbnail Generating Photoshop Script

Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible to create a script or Photoshop action to automatically take 10 images and create smaller thumbnails from them. I actually have more than 10 and would not like to do this manually.

Basically....

Input: 500px by 500px image

Output: 100px by 100px randomly selected from the original image.
