I am trying to recover a unsaved photoshop photo. It usually recovers unsaved pictures automatically, but this time, it didn't do it. I didn't find it in my recent files.
You have to manually save the file the first time before it will start doing an auto recovery backup. If you never did an initial save, there is nothing for Photoshop to backup from.
