Turning Stone to Stucco

I am attempting to turn the stone in this photo into stucco while still retaining the proper tone and shadows.  I do not have access to the original 3D file or I would just change the texture and re-render the image.  HELP!!  I've tried a million different things and nothing is looking realistic.

Google stucco texture and put into your file. Float a chunk about the size you will need.

Command T to distort, hold  down comamnd and  drag corners into place

Use a blending mode like overly, soft light or hardlight

Repeat for the remaining pieces
