Upgrade to Mojave and Photoshop 2021 and Lightroom Classic SLOW!!

With new photoshop forcing an upgrade to Majave I am now experiencing extremely slow processing times theu PS and LRC. Lots of spinning wheel and the occasional total freeze. Any help appreciated.

PS 22.01 (had trouble with adobe raw in the current version)

Same here.

PS 22.3 on a MacPro 2012 (Mojave) and a MacPro 2013 (Catalina) with ample RAM virtually not usable. 

Every action followed by Spinning Wheel of Death. Recovers most of the times; not always. 

Standard procedure of switching to „legacy compositing“ is not available anymore. 

What do we need to turn on/off in order to make this usable again?

How much spare disk capacity do you have?

Have you tried resetting the Photoshop preferences?

On friday I will be able to access the machine(s) in person. 

PS 22.3 was a fresh install; there should be 100GB+ free on the SSD of the machine—but I will check that.

Did you solve yet?  I can no longer work on LR on my 2012 device.  I was going to upgrade in 6 months, but I feel like my hand is being forced into an earlier than expected purchase.
