v.24 nonresponsive

photoshop v 24  on mac book pro running mojave os,it opens up but when i go to click on file i just get the spinning beachball.I have the same mojave os on my i mac where i can run PSv 24.1 with no problems. On the macbnon-responsiveook i can run v 22.3.1 with no problems.

What specific MacBook model year are you running 22.4 on? 

While Mojave is compatible - Catalina is the recommended OS for CC2021.

Its the graphics card for that model - specifically the Ops/Sec requirements.

The minimum is an Ops/Sec of 2,000 - the Intel Iris 6100 in a 13" MBP is only 553. https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/directCompute.html

Try going into PS and check the Performance preference - does it recognize the graphics card?

If so, try these steps one at a time, relaunching PS after each change. 

Go into Advanced Settings and turn off "Use Open CL".

Turn off the GPU option altogether.

Hopefully one of these two options will help. Let me know otherwise.

Thanks Kevin, will give that a try,if it does'nt work  it's no big deal,i can still use version 22.3.1 without problems .

Pull down the Adobe cloud app to check it is running without error.

OOBE RESET MAC

• Quit the Creative Cloud desktop app  (100% you must do this)
• /Users/<user folder>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
• The \Users\<user folder>\Library\ is hidden by default for macOS 10.7 and above. See Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 and later for instructions to access it.
• Delete all the files within the OOBE folder, but do not delete the folder itself.
• Restart the computer and launch the Creative Cloud desktop app again.

Reset Prefs Thoroughly (Mac)

• Quit Your Adobe App (100% you must do this)
• Finder >> Go (hold down option to show hidden) >> library 
• Preferences >> Adobe  >> (Program Name) rename to (Program Name) .old
• Library- >> Caches >> com.(Program Name) rename to (Program Name) .old
• Library >> Application Support >> Adobe >> (Program Name) rename to (Program Name) .old
