vanishing point grid does not render in photoshop

I try to render a grid from the vanishing point effect in photoshop ( on my original background layer). I created a new layer for the effect and I can adjust all the messurments of the grid in the vanishing point efect preview. But when i try to render it, nothing happens. Or if it renders it looks like the grid was layerd multiple times and is totaly distorted. Whats the source of error?

Reset my preferences multiple times, updated photoshop, restarted my computer and the application, still getting the same issue 😕
