would anyone know if there is any legal issues if i shared extremely old versions of photoshop (not for profit) to friends for legacy needs on very out dated Macintosh OS 9? I have copies of Illustrator 6 (1996) and Photoshop 5.0 (1998) for Macintosh, and these versions are some of the last that support a specific file format needed for a free online gaming community based in Mac OS 9, that still continues to live today. Back in 2005 we would use a modern image processing application, and convert it using these older photoshop versions to the file format required for the game, however if I could be allowed to offer these programs to the people in the community freely to directly create the images for the game with these older versions, it would be much easier to add new pictures to the game.

It doesn't matter how old any adobe software is, adobe still owns it and would frown upon anyone giving it away.
A person owns a license, not the software itself.
What is the file format?

The license terms are not for a limited period, so yes you would be breaking the license terms.

You must not share. If you have given up these old apps forever AND if you DID NOT use them to upgrade, then you may transfer to a different one person by sending paperwork to Adobe.
