Video Frame Rates are 1-2 FPS prior to rendering until I do this.......

Hi, using the latest version 22.01 on an Apple M1-based Macbook Pro, I'm encountering something I didn't have a problem with using a '19 MBpro with the intel chip.

With the M1, when I open a video in order to cut or add watermark, the preview playback runs at 1-2FPS making it a bit frustrating.

BUT

when I click on the video layer bar beneath the preview window and simply adjust the speed of the video to anything but 100%, and then immediately put it back to 100%, the preview playback is back to what it should be (30-35 fps and higher) and I no longer have any issues with the preview screen playback performance.

Is this is a glitch with the mix of new Photoshop and an M1 macbook?  Or is there a setting that I can adjust to avoid this issue.   Like I mentioned earlier, I never had this issue on previous macbooks or iMacs.

Thanks for any help! 🙂
