view reset when I cycle documents

I'm a comicbook colorist and have several documents open for reference.

When I switch to another document in photoshop with CTRL+Tab to pick a color and go back to my main document it resets the view. It's still the same zoom level but it jumps to a corner.  Each and every time I do that I have to move the document again to how it was before. It seems to lock with a corner or the top of the page. I would like PS to stop doing that, because this is disturbing my workflow and is a huge waste of my time. Each time I cycle between document everything should remain unchanged. Is there a setting in the configuration that prevents that? I have the latest version of PS and Windows 10.
