What happened to the Extract Filter in CS6?

I tried the Content aware option and all it did was shrink the image layer down.

If you happen to be on a windows machine, the extract filter from the cs5 optional plugins download should work in photoshop cs6 on the windows version.

I tried looking for the the CS5 optional plug in but I haven't found it yet on Adobe site.  I did download a .8BF file but there is already such a file name under CS6 64 bits.

I jumped from CS3 to CS6. I looked at the refine filter. I haven't used it before.  The Content aware filter does not do what I thought its name implied.

no, i wanted to do the extract command. I opened up the image in CS3 and used it.  I finally realized that the extract command was just a specialized mask command. One can just paint a enclosure around and object and the fill it the middle with a big brush. I'll check out the two video for therefine tool above
