Been using that app for years, no issue. Just used it about an hour ago.  Now for some (stupid) reason, I am no longer able to launch Photoshop CS6 !! Here is the (likely generic ''we don't know what to tell you - like'') message I receive:

__________

Please uninstall and reinstall the product.

If this problem still occurs, please contact Adobe technical support for help, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of this screen.

Error: 16

________

What do I do with it ?

To be sure the problem wasn't on my disk I did a repair on my SSD disk. And after rebooting, the problem disappeared. Problem solved for me!

Hi lanstrad,

You don't have to reinstall it, you only to provide the read & write access to some of the Adobe folders.

follow the steps: Configuration error in Adobe Creative Cloud

I had an Error 16 problem on my Mac and here is what helped:

Open Terminal.app

Copy and paste this command:  sudo chmod -R 777 /Library/Application\ Support/Adobe

Press Enter and enter your password if asked.  It should fix the permissions and allow you to launch your apps.
